The day I bought my first 240 was cold and drizzling. It had high milage and wouldn't make an effort. Cranked fine,,,,,,,that's it.
I pulled the plugs and found them to be gapped over a quarter inch! and wet..
I re-gapped them, dried them off and drove it home. I soon-after traced down down the original owner and asked him all about the car.
"It wil not start when it's wet" he told me.
A cap, rotor and plugs got me the best car I have ever owned.
Unfortunately, we use so much road salt in Missouri it got the best of
her and I laid her to rest at 356k miles,,,,,,,but she still used no oil.
