overdrive 200

I had a similiar problem where my car would jump into an overdrive off condition. The overdrive button on the stick is wired to the transmission. This wire goes across the top of the transmission housing and is exposed to the elements. It becomes brittle and breaks up and once the exposed wire comes in contact with the transmission metal it causes a short and kicks in. Examine this wire and replace if defective.
