Getting M46 to go back on the engine 200 1984

Smith;

You did what I do "step away from the job and clear your head" There are
some tricks. 1st you have to make sure all the clutch components are still lined up. Put our alignment tool back up in and check, prior to another attempt.
2nd put the trans in gear so that when it comes time for the splines to mesh you can turn the tailshaft and the imput shaft will turn and drop in to the clutch plate. count 10 fingers & 10 toes 'cause that's what you want when the job is done .. don't get "steamed' good luck
