On the older model the amp light was served by the same fuse that worked
the turn signals. If that fuse is out, you might get some weird effects
in the turn signal but not enough to make them work, as well as amp light
being out and little or no charging.
So you might check your fuses.
Were you in Panama during the 1989 invasion?
