My first B30 distributor gave out at about 100,000 miles.
My second one (aluminum) gave out at about 200,000.
My third one is approaching another 100,000 miles and I have
an electronic one to replace it with as soon as it gives out.
But the advantage is that electronic ignition gives a hotter spark
and is more resistant to spark plug fouling, doesn't need dwell adjustment,
etc.
