For a gasketed windshield, a razor knife and a few minutes will do ya proud.
To do it the right way on a gasket, U remove the 'trim' piece that wedges the gasket tight to the glass and body, then gently roll the outter edge of the gasket on the body side outward and continually place a 5/16 (sometimes larger) rope into the gap youve created, then gently push the glass and gasket into the car and the waiting hands of a buddy.
The easy way.
From the outside, pry the upper edge of the gasket down to see the body lip underneath. once you know how far down the lip goes into the seal, cut with the razor knife along that line. It'll come out easy.
Tips. leave the corners till last. Cut all the straight cuts first, then the bottom corners, then the pass side (non steering wheel side) top corner.(normally no need to cut the driver's top) then gently push the glass in to your waiting bud's hands (2 helpers make it much easier).
Once it's pushed in, it can be gently fanigled around the wheel, laid over flat and handed out.
Hope this helps, it's NOT the only way, but it works well for me.
