Box Beam Frame 1800

It would make much more sense to have galvinized replacement panels and frame sections. Modern cars have practically eliminated rust as an issue during a reasonable 15 - 20 year life, even used on salt soaked winter roads, by using galvanized steel panels.

As for the existing frame box sections, treatment depends on the current state of deterioration. Coating rust to seal out additional moisture will not stop the rust process. If it did we could just paint over it. Spraying an oil based sealer may be the best way to stop the rust process.
