As you can see, I'm not quite sure what eventually solved the problem, though I'm inclined to think it may have been the flooding.
You've got gas, timing, and spark. The darned thing should run. Unhook the battery for a couple of hours and then reconnect it. Perhaps the engine control comp. will reset.
If all else fails, take a can of starting fluid and spray a 2 second shot into the intake manifold.
