Tom,

I've got a Hoppecke 60 AH 280A battery in mine - its survived all sorts of abuse over the last couple of years including one time when I didn't set the timing right and spent quite a bit of time turning the engine over between adjustments. If its any help the battery reference is 560 049 028 - the brand is commonly available in Ireland so I'd say that the same should apply to the UK. The battery fits comfortably in the tray with a little room to spare.
