If you want the battery to last longer, get a "deep cycle marine" battery for engine starting use. Not the trolling motor deep cycle.

Why? The CCW is a little lower than a mega-power group 24 but the plates inside are much more robust. The batteries are about half again as much to buybut last up to twice as long and are much more forgiving of the occasional lights-on-all-night episode!

This is a typical 4-wheel truck/ Diesel trick and works swell.
