electrical question 200 1989

what you need to do is to hook the amp meter in series with the neg. cable and the neg. post. you should see about .010 amps. If you see more than .010 amps go to the fuse panel and pull fuses one at a time until the meter reading drops. Then you know your short is somewhere on that circuit. Refer to the wiring diagrams for your car. One of the most common problems is with the trunk light switch in sedans. Hope i've helped.
