Additional Step you should do... 200 1988

Now I realize that some of the "gunk" that I cleaned out was some sort of lubricant, I'd guess electrical grease.

Since it is all gone now thanks to my zealous cleaning, the stalk physically sticks when I use the turn signal.

So, if you do this repair, I'd suggest adding some lubricant in there before you close it all up again!
