I agree, longevity only. all the advertisement about extra large spark for fuel economy and acceleration is all hype. The two tips...the arc is going to the closest tip anyway. The Plat plugs. they just don't wear as fast, no performance advantage.
Save your money. Buy the standards and replace them. it's good to loosen the metal plugs away from the aluminum Head sooner rather then later anyway. Dislike metals tend to weld themselves together.
