sounds like you've run out of adjustment. Those 544/444 mechanical clutch linkages have many wear points and a little wear in many places will eat up your adjustment. I don't think it's the clutch internals.

the rubber bushings on each end of the shaft, egg shaped holes in the tabs off said shaft, the rod with 2 bends (from pedal to shaft) and the j shaped rod from shaft to clutch yoke shaft - all of these places get worn.
