I made the assumption that you had overtightened a rod cap? The Haynes gives a spec for the length of the rodbolt not to exceed 55.5mm (2.185")
Check that and or compare to a known good rodbolt. I doubt you did any damage but check to be sure! (if you're talking about rodbolts?)
