Those are fuel adaptive codes that means the control unit has adjusted itself too far one way or the other in an attempt to correct an overly lean or rich condition. These codes can be set by a number of things depending upon the status message which tells you whether it is marched lean or rich. Obviously if it is lean you should be looking for things that would either cause it to run lean (vacuum leaks) or things that will make it think it is lean(faulty O2) and the opposite is true of the rich condition, you look for faulty pressure regulators, clogged air filters, O2 leaks around the O2 sensor and the like. It could very easily be a faulty O2 sensor and a cat that is either plain worn out or was taken out by the faulty O2 sensor.
