Yes it can. I had a front caliper bolt fall out of my F*** Capri on the Ventura Freeway one afternoon. Factory installed, the caliper had never been touched. Made a hell of a racket and would have trashed my wheel had I continued to use the brakes. I used the e-brake to get off the freeway and park and walked two blocks to a lincoln-merc dealer for a replacement. Fortunately I had the big spanner wrench from the old 122 in the tool kit :-)
