Well that's not good. I guess I don't understand this as well as I should. But I think the oringinal instructions said to connect to one of the hoses going to the heater, wouldn't that result in the same problem? I guess you could assume that if it is cold enough to affect the intake manifold, I would also have the heater on, but it is a big assumption.
