progressive springs 1800

Instead of going to progressive springs in order to be able to increase the overall spring rate and improve handling without hurting the ride quality ( the same reason that Volvo's optional sport springs were progressives ) , it appears that they took stock springs and made progressive based on the stock rate or close to it.
I bought a set on ebay too, just to see what they were like and how they compared to ours. I bever installed as they are a lot softer than what I would want, but you might want to try them.

As to which way to install them.
There is also a theory that the soft coils should be on the bottom in order to keep to a minimum the unsprung weight that the soft coils have to control.
