Diagnosis help - engine performance 700 1989

I know you've checked, but this really sounds like a vacum leak problem.

I saw somewhere in the FAQs about how to check for this using a butane fire starter/lighter (not lit!!!). I believe that if you run the butane near the hoses as the engine is running, if a leak is encountered, it will affect to idle, thus identifying the leak. It's worth a try.
