Some more info on 'warped' rotors

I appreciated all the "white space" in "Tedium's" long post, and found it easy on the eyes. He wanted readers to get his message, and took the time to make it readable.

For the record, my 940 has 2+ years on Brembo front rotors, NAPA rears, with PBR deluxe pads all around and no complaints except a little dust.

In 35+ years of disc brake driving, I have personally never had a verifiable (dial indicator) warped rotor. But I did see one pair on a 240, where the woman owner habitually rode the brakes down a long hill every day.

The 700/900 Volvo Brake Service manual doesn't forbid rotor turning, but says it should be done with an on-the-car lathe, and with no subsequent changes in rotor position.
