Some more info on 'warped' rotors

I've really tried to think this issue through and have researched it as well.

- I don't buy over-torquing (within reasonable limits) the lug nuts as long as torque is evenly applied

- I don't buy taking .005" a side off will alter rotor mas enough (thermal mass) to promote over heating and "warping"

Why Volvo rotors are more subject to pulsation is beyond me ... I've had the same rotors on my Honda for 200,000 miles and they haven't warped! I've never used standard non metallics too.

I am starting to wonder what you are suggesting though ... namely the pad composition is the culprit.

It's an annoyance though and I'd like to deal with it.
