There is a 95% probability taht your problem is the overdrive relay. A $50 item at Volvo, a $5 item at your local pick and pull or free if can solder. Lots of info in the FAQs. http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/TransmissionAuto.htm#AW7071OverdriveRelaySwitch good luck.
