Weird ignition problem in 1994 940

I agree... could be in the computer... or, in the circuitry in the computer that amplifies the crank sensor output into a signal that drives the advance map.

But, I think the first thing I will do is tap into the output of the crank sensor and see if one of the two positions on the flywheel is producing a noticeably weaker impulse in the pickup coil.
