You guessed it... ITB is a Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) racing class, Improved Touring "B". There are several SCCA recognized Improved Touring classes (ITC, ITB, ITA, ITS, etc). It's grassroots racing, as there are very few modifications allowed to the engine (essentially balanced and blueprinted with any exhaust system that meets noise regs), and limited suspension mods (stiffer springs and shocks, anti-roll bars, hard bushings, etc). Add the required safety equipment (roll cage, racing seat, harnesses, fire extinguisher, etc), and you're ready to go IT racing. The 142E is very competitive in ITB.
