Tom - thanks. Here is not more info.
Coil wire is plugged. Spark plug wires are in correct order. Rotor snapped and in correct position.
When I turn the key to run I can hear the fuel relay turn the pump which operated for 1sec. Checked the voltage at the alternator 12V.
When the key is at run quite loud grinding noise comes out (maye starter). Keeping it in run the noise just goes on. Once it felt like the car is barely about to start but most of the time did not feel like it had a chance.
Unplugged the coil wire that goes into the distrubutor and pointed against the body of the car, turned the key to run but did not see spark. The engine is definitely turning but probably not quite fast to get the sparks going.
The car has always been loud griding when starting - it it possible that the flywheen on the transmission gave up? What should I do next?
Thank you in advance
Stefan
