Timing Gear Trouble HELP. 120-130

Metal gearsets have the reputation of "howling." Many poser-type street rodders buy them just for the sound. Careful shaping and cutting of helical teeth will greatly reduce the noise. Regular straight or bevel cut teeth will always howl to a greater or lesser extent.
If you used the entire gearset they should wear in with time and be somewhat less obtrusive (more a whine than a howl).
It is possible that you got a bad set but I cannot comment on the incidence of that!
