Well it looks fine with w3m (a pretty nice text browser), but MSIE just
butchers it. MSIE/Mac is a bit of an odd browser to deal with, but I've
found that sticking to HTML 4 or XHTML Transitional seems to work pretty
well. What doesn't render quite right is at least useable. The w3c
validator (validator.w3.org) chokes on the opinion index (and points to
some really easy fixes).
I'd post a screenshot, but I can't quite figure out how to get
imagemagick to properly make heads or tails of it.
The no reload business just doesn't work (opening stuff in tabs throws
it sometimes, other times it just won't go back for no good reason).
The older method would predictably go back too far on occasion. At
least it was predictable.
With all the changes, now seems like an opportune time to move all of
the CSS into one or more files (and of course save bandwidth as a
result). Besides, the beauty of CSS is that you can change the colours
locally if you don't like Jarrod's choices.
