Yes and no I say .....One or two things to think about before.
If you change the rpm sensor the codes would be reset after you disconnected the battery to do the work .
Was the fault code before the work for the rpm 2-1-4 (signal erratic) or 1-3-1 (no signal)
I need to ask .You got a code after driving the car and disconnected the battery for the work or w/o disconnecting the battery for the work.?
Also, did you go into mode 2 on #2 and #6 socket for a diagnostic check after the work was completed? So the ECU can test and see the rpm sensor is there and working.
