Noisy fuel pumps

You should be looking at 3-4 amps at the pre-pump and 6.5 on the main. My schematic shows that the main pump piggy backs off of the back of the #4 fuse and is not fused like the pre-pump is. Underneath the rear seat on the left side there is a connector to the main pump, pop it apart there and hook in your ammeter there.

The pre-pump (fuse #4 for that matter) does not get hot until the engine cranks.
