windshield questions... 120-130

The windshield in my 220 has dual cracks and multiple pits. the PO/Only other O, had them treated in some way, now there are these weird concentric rings of distortion arounf the where the old pit "melted" It's much more distracting than a sinple crack. I'm trying to line up a new windshield to get rid of the whole shebang.

So, there's eomthing out there that will help...sorta, but I do not know what and the solution isn't all that great, imho.
