Piston slap eh? Funny you should say that. When I bought the car off the dealer, he said the knocking noise sounded like a piston slap....Well...It makes a sort of clanking ticking noise, and it sounds really bad when it 1st starts up but the sound significantly decreases once the block is fully warmed up. Do you think it's just a piston slap?

Oh by the way I have 5w 30 oil in the engine. Should the oil be a thicker grade? Thanks.
