The PO noticed that the floorpans were rusting and replaced the door seals.
If you've followed some of my otehr posts, you've seen just how badly the driver's side was rusted out. The passenger's side is better, but still rusted. The windshield has two serious cracks as well a a few "dings."
Your description sounds exactly like what happened in my car. I've removed the Jute, but with so much rust, I've hesitated to put any kind of rubberized seal on the florboards.
Anyway, windshield seal failure is common and the only real source of leaks for the front? I'm really just concerned about "other" leaks that I need to find.
Thanks,
Jack
P.S. My charging system is holding up fine.
