HIFs have an internal temperature compensator of some sort?! Wow, didn't know that... All I know is that I think of my carbs as being very picky to ambient air temperatures. For example, it feels sluggish during the day (80-90 degrees F), but at night, (60-70 degrees), it feels much stronger. I know I should lean them out a bit, and I will do so today to see how that changes things in today's 90 degree weather, but I don't have a choke so I usually like to have it a tad rich. Well, not like it, but basically, need it.
