Got the O/D install completed 444-544

Hi guys,
Finally completed my O/D install in my 61 544. Special thanks to Bob Silvius for a great article on Vclassics and to Phil Singher for hosting it!
I ended up using a J-type from a 75 240. The gearing works out well, and I still have enough power to surprise some of the boys in the Hondas!
I wired up the O/D in a similar fashion to the 240, using an od relay from a 240 and using the 4th gear switch to complete the ground circuit. This setup works great, and it kicks the od circuit out when you shift into third. I used the turn signal stalk for my momentary switch.
BTW, I lucked out and the flange mated up perfectly to my driveshaft.
NOTE: Anyone thinking of doing this swap should measure their own setup before cutting the driveshaft. Figures of 11-1/2 to 12" have been mentioned, but mine ended up needing only 11-1/8."

Now it's a 6 hour drive to the Ilderton Volvo show. Maybe I'll finally be able to hear my stereo...

Rob
