overheating... 200

Pretty sure it would not be there on an '84, unless someone "upgraded" the cluster to a newer one. Not that likely.

Could also be caused by a short in the temp sender lead. Cure for that is to run a substitute straight back to the firewall, or even to the round multi-pin connecotr on rear of cluster.
