Jim - I've had the control arm spindle get stuck in the inner bushing sleeve on two or three occasions. I solved the problem as follows:
- Separate the bushing by drilling a dozen holes or so holes in the rubber parallel to the bushing axis. Pull the control arm/inner sleeve out of the bracket/outer sleeve assembly.
- Scrape off an end-to-end line of the rubber still adhering to the inner sleeve.
- Use a bench grinder to grind the now-exposed sleeve down to the spindle surface. Don't go too far; you can see when you're getting close because the sleeve metal changes color as it thins out). Grind along the entire length of the sleeve.
- Repeat the cleaning /grinding process on the other side of the sleeve.
- Separate the sleeve halves.
- Press/hammer the outer sleeves from the bracket as you normally would.
Best of luck with the bolt.
