Tim,
What are you trying to do? Are you planning to put a fuel tank and pump from a D-jet onto your carb engine? I think that there is nothing wrong with using the tank, but the fuel pump cannot work- too high of pressure.(As far as I know)
If I remember correctly, the D-jet system runs at over 2 Bars of pressure. (35 psig).
You need to use the standard mechanical pump on the engine in my opinion.
