If it were the cold start injector, I suppose it might be stuck open in such a way that unplugging it might not matter. It would be more certain to clamp off the fuel line going to it. Art Benstein says that the later ECUs for LH 2.4, the ones with a number ending in 951, don't ever activate the cold start. If Art says it, I believe it.
