I have an '88 740GLE 5 speed (B230F) with 173K on it that's not accelerating very well from a stop. I have a new distributor system, 1 yr old plugs/wires, good air filter, new flame trap, etc. Can anyone tell me the best place to start in getting this great car to respond a little better to the gas pedal?
The car runs flawlessly at idle, going up through the gears and at highway speed (even gets 28 MPG).

Could it be clogged injectors or air-gas mixture?
