It looks like no one else is nibbling your bait, so I will play the fool. Increase mpg by 10+ with 3 little changes?! Ya, right. Do you think that if it were that simple that it would be common knowledge by now? Maybe the 3 changes are:
1. Drive only downhill at modest speed and rpm
2. ...with a tailwind
3. ...with no pollution controls
unbounded by thermodynamic and aerodynamic considerations.

Or am I missing something obvious (wouldn't be the first time). :-)
