FWD/AWD transverse V8?

Has anyone attempted (I know many have pondered) mounting a V8 engine transversely in the 850/S-V70 chassis cars? Dimensionally it looks possible. I'd try to go the adapter route and keep the stock trans. Any thoughts other than "you're crazy" or "with enough money anything is possible"?

P.S. - still have those SBC V8 mounts that were in my 745t if anyone needs them.
