That's true Peter-the manual would be the place to list part #s.I'm just a little upset with myself.I really should know better, but when I purchased this car in December of 1999 (with no intention of V8 conversion), I thought I'd do the right thing and had BCAA check the car out; it checked out fine though I thought the shifting seemed "notchy".So I bought the car and noticed the next day the oil was below the add mark...and a few days later again.Took the car to Volvo specialist-excessive blowby and needed new engine and transmission(this person I have known for 17 years and would never try to take my money-should have taken it to him in the first place but seller was a busy Dentist). So began the saga of the most expensive beater.Paid way to much for car,way to much to convert.Converse clutch cable lasted 4 months-towed home-1st Volvo cable(used) a little longer.Bought engine from wreckers, but so many accessories failed that I doubt I saved any money.Actually ,3 weeks ago was the 5th time I've had the car towed home since conversion was completed in November of 2001.This time I found the keyway on the harmonic balancer had broken, taking the crankshaft with it.So now I need what? -another engine! Most of the Converse kit parts had to be modified to fit or,like the lower rad hose and fan setup just looked too crappy.Oh, and my wife has threated to cut off my dangling participles!OK that's the end of my rant. There are many positives though, like the Delrin bushings that Specialty Engineering in New Westminster B.C.made and installed to replace the large rear rubber ones (tightenen it right up with no vibration)and the 2.5 inch stainless steel dual exhaust they built that is a breeze to unbolt when removing the transmission(a wee bit loud and larger than I needed but will support the stroker that's going in).About a week before my engine expired one of the bolts on the Converse shifter extension fell off and the transmission was effectively stuck in 3rd.No problem taking off from a stop in 3rd, not so easy with the 4 banger!
