I installed the IPD upper and lower braces on my '88 740 with the 5.0 conversion. The upper bar interferes by just a bit with the vaccuum line that runs from the oil fill tube to the intake. But your swap maybe different from mine. The guy that did mine actually did the cut/reweld swap for better fitment.

I can't say as I feel a difference, but I installed ipd springs and bil hd's at the same time. Haven't yet installed my front and rear ipd anti-sway bars, that's next when I have time.
