Thanks! Pictures would be a great help.

I'd always admired the wheel you're using, but didn't think I could use anything but a Volvo wheel---until now! Those could be just what I need to clear the Volvo S60R front caliper as discussed on Dave Barton's web page (http://personal.linkline.com/dbarton/volvo240bigbrakes.html)

Even if I stayed with the Volvo wheel, I'd have to use a spacer, so I have a few questions about yours, if I may. Are yours spacers or "adapters"? Just wondered as I thought the Volvo and Ford bolt circles are different (5 x 4 1/4 for Volvo vs. 5 x 4 1/2 for the Ford). Did you re-drill the hubs and fit them with new lugs? If that's the case, I'd have to redrill the rotors too.

I noticed that the Ford rims have an offset of 32mm (compared to 42 for the Volvo rim) so I should be able to get by with a thinner spacer. How thick are your spacers (fronts and rears)? Do you remember who you got yours from?

The Ford site says their wheel uses a conical seat lug nut (seat taper of 60 degrees)--Did you use new Ford lug nuts?

Sorry for all of the questions, but I hadn't thought about going this direction until now . . . and I appreciate your insights.

If you don't mind, I'll copy this into an e-mail to you too.

Thanks again,

Steve A-
