V8 Swap Documentation

Your post made me smile. Nothing quite like youthful exuberance.

It'll take quite a stout sbf to push a brick to 180; start with an aftermarket block or a 351 as the HP required tends to split the late model 5.0L thin walled blocks. Easier to get into the 10's (although that will take some work as well) --- but the rear suspension work/traction is one of the keys to that.

Mine has the factory Ford efi system. Works quite well - and it and the wiring harness/computer came with the engine from the junkyard back in the day. 35k mile 5.0L with T5 and harness/ecu out of a 91 Mustang GT for about $1200 back in '96. Even with significant (but carefully planned) motor mods - mine gets about the same mileage it did with the naturally aspirated 4 banger - 17-19 city and 24-27 highway.
