Follow up and new challenge: 745T V8 Tune up

I'm using a "trans-go" shift kit on our built AOD (I think it's their AOD-HP kit). We've had good performance from it for the past 15 years or so.

I think you may need to check the linkage under that car--sounds like something may be loose and is allowing the linkage alignment/length to change. You may also want to check and make sure that the grommet where the trans kick-down cable attaches to the throttle body lever is still there. The plastic ones can deteriorate over time, and when it goes, it can cause a variety of up- and down-shifting problems with the transmission.
