Nothing unexpected...it's just a lot of work. Converse's instructions cover everything, but you have to make a lot of modifications. It's different for every swap and every owner, but little things will come up. For instance, on my car, I had to convert from hydraulically-operated clutch to cable-operated clutch. Not a huge job per se, but you have to go dig the parts up, install a different clutch pedal (quite the task), and yank the hydraulic system. It all depends on how perfect you want it; if you want to go through and hook up the check engine light factor in even more wiring work.
Unless you really have all the experience and facilities necessary to build the kit up yourself, go with the Converse package. It makes it way, way easier, and it's been proven for more than a decade. I've seen Converse V8 Volvos with more than 300,000 miles on them, and that convinces me right there.
