starter relay

The relay serves to take the load off the starter key circuit and to activate the starter solenoid with full battery voltage. I used a regular small Bosch 30 amp relay mounted close to the starter on the inside of the fender. The starter key only activates the coil in the relay at terminal 88. 85 goes to ground. Battery voltage via a 10 gauge wire from the battery starter cable at nut on starter to terminal 30. 87 goes to starter solenoid.
