HI 240sleeper -- As I posted recently, I had this conversion done by Ross Converse (at his shop in Maine --www.converseengineering.com). I've been driving the '96 960 he did for me for 2 months now and have put 2500 miles on it. From my process with Ross, I can tell you that Michael Yount is right about the electrical -- it definitely was a challenge even for Ross, especially in the sense that mine 1)had to meet the strict Mass. standards for OBD II based emissions assessment and 2)we put in a Tremec T-5 transmission -- the 2000 Explorer engine ECU did not have programming to deal with a manual tranny, so Ross had to come up with a workaround. The car really drives well. The only problem I've had which I'm in the process of fixing (the car remains drivable) is that the slightly lowered anti-sway bar put a preload on the swaybar links and it was too much for them --this will be solved by modifying stock swaybar links into adjustable links.
